"How to Draw Eyes" Video Series with Stephen Lursen (2013)
Making art is one of my favorite things to do. It is fun to create, to change, to take what is and make it my own. Every time I finish a piece of art, I feel that it reflects some part of my personality. I have been adding faces in my art for some time now and have noticed how it seems to be coming back into popularity. I was asked by Donna Downey (of www.donnadowney.com) to create a lesson on how to draw the eyes and I took it a step further and made this three-part video series! We have heard for years that the eyes are the windows to the soul. When two people look at one another, and their eyes meet, it speaks to both people more than any other part of the face or body. Such emotion, mystery, and life can be seen in the eyes. The subject’s expression changes with one flick of the pencil, which brings excitement to the production of these works of art.
